Eleven years ...Oh, this kind of thing is difficult. Eleven years ago, my aunt was in a nursing home near me, and my mother and I both visited her every day, switching off mornings and evenings. It was pretty exhausting, and there were two of us to share the responsibility. There are no easy answers when it comes to this kind of thing.

(o)jo(e)https://www.blogger.com/profile/01488562158252331555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1857445148241479194.post-31596201965126349302011-02-07T17:11:23.984-05:002011-02-07T17:11:23.984-05:00Cathy, I didn't realize this was going on. When my dad was in a nursing home 3000 miles away, I didn't have a choice. I saw him so infrequently that when every few months I did, I was able to stay all day. I would have preferred a shorter time each day.
Will keep you in my prayers.
PhyllisAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1857445148241479194.post-14475659620269935582011-02-05T16:58:05.133-05:002011-02-05T16:58:05.133-05:00Cathy,

It was a true gift to be able to be present for my mom. And it's okay to be angry and feeling lost and anxious about the future. Keep sharing your journey because it does help.Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06420035725875000489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1857445148241479194.post-18191550083625737882011-02-05T16:22:08.111-05:002011-02-05T16:22:08.111-05:00oh, honey. i'm sorry and sending you my love....oh, honey. i'm sorry and sending you my love.
